Tampakan, South Cotabato – 50 women who are members of the Lampitak Women’s Association and Tampakan Beauty Care Services Association are taking on the challenge of empowering themselves through the Department of Labor and Employment Region XII Livelihood Assistance under the 2015 Bottom-up Budgeting Fund.
During the turnover ceremony, DOLE Assistant Regional Director Naomi Lyn C. Abellana stressed that the beneficiaries are fortunate to be given the chance to avail of the livelihood assistance.
“We urge you to use the livelihood assistance to your advantage and make your dreams come true. Please save your money for the future of your children,” Assistant Regional Director Abellana said.
Tampakan Mayor Leonardo Escobillo on his part said that he believes that a person given the opportunity to hone their skills through training and avail livelihood assistance from the government will be successful.
Livelihood projects availed by the beneficiaries and was approved by DOLE XII under the leadership of OIC- Regional Director Albert E. Gutib include Kabuhayan Starter kits for Beauty care, Carenderia and Rice Cake Making.
